It’s the end of the day and you have lots of protein and carbs left to hit, but very little fat. You’re not in the mood to down a cup of plain egg whites, you definitely have a sweet tooth, and who DOESN’T love cake?!?
Protein Mug Cake to the rescue!
25g Core Nutritionals MRP in Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie
1/4 cup Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes
1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Macros: 25 Carbs/ 3 Fat/ 17 Protein
Coat a microwave-safe mug with non-stick cooking spray. Using a whisk, mix all three ingredients directly in the mug. Microwave on high 45 seconds to 1 minute depending on preferred consistency. I microwave for 1 minute and the cake comes out formed, yet still soft. If you like more of a gooey center, shorten the cook time.
Enjoy with a side of fresh fruit and top with cinnamon. Or, go all out and add peanut butter, sugar free syrup, or Nutella! This cake tastes similar to a pancake and my 5 year old approves! He requests Nutella to top it, of course. Enjoy!
